  Awesome experience! The tasting fee initially caught us off guard as its just not what we are used to, but once seated and working our way through the tasting we were so glad we stopped! My husband and I shared the full flight tasting for $20 which was perfect. We got more than just a sip each as its a 2 oz pour this also allowed us to pace our tasting experience which gave us time to truly get a good sense of the wines. Each wine was served in its approoriate stemware which adds to the experience. Our server Wayne was Awesome! Very knowledgeable and helpful. He provided additional recommendations of other area wineries that carry wines that suit our palate. Will definitely be back!

  Love Black Hills - it's not your normal tasting experience. If you want to saddle up to the tasting bar then there are a lot of options in the Okanagan. But if you want a sit down relaxing educational experience with some of the best wines in the Okanagan, then yes, there is a tasting fee. The servers aren't just locals that pour wine, they have a minimum of WSET 3 which is a lot of wine education and experience. We're in the Okanagan a lot and visit a lot of wineries and Black Hills never disappoints, they do it differently. You can certainly share a $10 tasting if you don't want to pay for two, there's enough wine to share.

  We attended Black Hills Estate Winery as we always do whenever out in the area, it never, ever fails to completely blow us out of the water!! This trip we took 2 young adult newbies to the whole concept of wine-tasting experience & started our trip with Black Hills, knowing it would be an amazing experience, yet again, Black Hills, you are truly fantastic! Our wine guru this time was Gord - who absolutely ROCKS!!!! You made our experience with our young guests a truly memorable one & we thank-you from the bottom of our hearts! See you next year!
